Happy 7th Birthday Paige!!

Today our beautiful Paige is 7 years old!! Happy Birthday to the best little girl in the world. 

Paige wanted a horseshoe cake so here was my best effort.  LOL!!

Cedar Falls @ Petit Jean

I went to Cedar Falls @ Petit Jean today with some friends from work.  We had a great hike and I got some great pics of the falls.  It was so amazing.  Here are my favorites from the day.

Elk @ Boxley Valley {Arkansas Wildlife Photos}

We went to Boxley Valley last Sunday, Nov. 1.  Here are a few of the pics we took of the elk.  A couple are a little blurry but still worth looking at.  Enjoy! We were about a week late on the leaves but enjoyed the morning watching the wildlife. 

OK....clearly I am obsessed with pictures.  And though you have seen 2 of these 3 pics in an earlier post, I thought this little {storyboard} was super fun.  Enjoy!!

Tonight we had parent/teacher conferences. I got Paige's report card for the first nine weeks of 1st grade. I am very proud to tell you that she had all A's. She is doing especially well in spelling and reading. We are so very proud of her.

Paige has been home from school the last 2 days with fever and a nasty cough. Her temp seems to be coming down, so hopefully after some rest this weekend she will be fully recovered. She is ready to go back to school and see her friends.

A post is no fun without a picture so I am sharing a drawing that Paige did last week. I absolutely love this drawing because it shows Paige's perspective so well. I suppose from her point of view it seems that I always have my camera trying to capture every moment of her life. {probably because it's true}

We went on a little adventure today to one of our favorite trails on Petit Jean Mountain. We were late getting up there so I was a little worried about having much time for pictures, but I was able to get a few (78 to be exact). Here are a few of my favs.

3 months later....

Well...it has been 3 months since I have posted which happens to be the entire summer. I guess we have been busy. Here is what we have been up to...in no particular order....and I am sure with a few things missing.

 Paige is swimming like a little fish now. And the funny thing is, this is the first summer she didn't take swimming lessons!! Funny how that works. We made lots of trips to Aunt Marla's for swimming and family fun. Paige lost her first tooth at the beginning of the summer and now at the beginning of 1st grade she has lost her second tooth. (pic above is her first tooth lost) We made a trip to the Buffalo....I would love to spend more time there. And that is about it.  1st grade pics and update to come soon!! Love you all!

Kindergarten Graduation 2009

Paige graduated kindergarten!!! She had an outstanding year and we are looking forward to 1st grade!!

First Swim of the Year

This is at the end of April. The water was still really cold but Paige didn't mind. She was just happy to be in the pool. Her lips were purple by the end!!

Wacky Wednesday

Paige's school has been celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday this week. Yesterday was "Wacky Wednesday" so the kids could wear mismatched clothes. Here is what Paige came up with. Truth be told, Paige would wear this to school everday if I would let her. Gotta love that little girl!!

Winter Weekend

Bridge under water? No problem.....just climb over it!! Paige thought this was a great adventure. I was scared to death!!

My dad took Paige and I to see the Lippizaner Stallions this past Sat. at Alltel Arena. Here are a couple of pics from the trip. They are in reverse order...sorry...starting with the end of our day. But you get the picture.

Here is one pic from the show. I didn't post any more because if you have seen one horse you have seen them all. They were much more beautiful in person.

And my favorite. After some tricky traffic and not finding the place we wanted to eat, we decided to eat from one of the vendors in Alltel. Well, once Paige smelled the funnel cakes, it was all over. So I thought...hey, why not.....one funnel cake lunch won't hurt the kid. And she thought it was lots of fun to eat junk instead of real food!!

Go Paige Go!!

So Paige cheered at her first basketball game last Saturday. Of course I was so excited and wanted lots of pics and video. When we got to the game my camera wouldn't take a pic. I didn't know what was wrong. Then I realized....my battery was about to die. Can you believe it? But it gets even better......the video camera was almost dead too!! So needless to say we didn't get any pics and very little video. But we redeemed ourselves tonight and had everything ready to go.

Paige got the opportunity to cheer for the Russellville High School basketball game tonight. Here are a few pics.
